Damn!! I filled up my truck and my wife’s car the other day and it cost $150.00!! Just for full disclosure, I also filled up a 5 gallon can so that I could cut our grass but still, $150.00!!! I was listening to one of the morning shows today and they were talking about how this is a market driven issue. BS!!! Unless I want to quit my job I have to drive to work, which means I have to buy gas. Same holds true for my wife. The next argument is buy a car that makes better gas milage. Well both our vehicles are paid for so buying a new one to gain a few miles per gallon is not a logical answer once you do the math, not to mention where I live and the things I do require that I have a truck. We’ve made all the changes that you can make such as combining trips and that sort of thing but still that average the other day at the pump is going to amount to 600.00 a month/7200.00 a year. Now that’s not including the summer vacation and any extra trips around.

Sure would be nice if we could drill for our own oil in this country and maybe build another refinery or two… I know “that would be bad for the environment”. Here’s some food for thought for those of you that believe the crap about bad for the environment, who do you thinks takes better care of the environment, us when we drill and refine or Chevez, the Saudis, and Mexico??

BTW,

I am all for finding other forms of energy. If we could make the world run off that bunny I keep seeing on TV that would be fine by me but until then we still need oil so might as well do it ourselves. Also, lets build some more nuke plants!!!
